Jack Naylor (21), works for Mansfield-based Assured Money Solutions and has just been awarded the Apprentice of the Year with Special Recognition prize at the Mansfield Business Awards.

Jack, from South Normanton, is a former business administration apprentice but has now landed himself an operations manager role at the debt management advice business, and thanked his training provider, South Normanton-based Positive Outcomes, for his success.

He said: “Positive Outcomes worked with me right from placing me in the company through to overseeing my development to operations manager.

“I feel like I’ve gone from strength to strength.”

The independent training provider helped Jack secure his apprenticeship and took him through an intermediate apprenticeship in Customer Service and Business Administration before he progressed to the advanced apprenticeship in Business Administration.

“My apprenticeship has kick-started my career and I don’t think I’d be where I am today without it,” he added.

“If there are young people out there who are unsure about the benefits of an apprenticeship, my advice would be to give it a go.

“It’s the perfect way to learn as you can earn at the same time and you are always being given advice from your training advisor.”

Positive Outcomes is a leading national training provider and offers a range of apprenticeships and management training to companies across the country.

Chief executive Chris Longmate said: “Jack is a shining example of how an apprenticeship can open all sorts of doors for a young, hard-working person.

“He has shown determination and passion, as well as learning a wide range of new skills while working at the same time.”
