Businessman pays dearly for Sutton Lawns dog show assaults
A Mansfield court was told how a businessman assaulted two women during a row at a Kennel Club dog show at Sutton Lawns in June last year.
Frank Cochran (56), of Stafford, was convicted of two counts of common assault at a trial earlier this month.
Ms Powers, defending, said Cochran, who is managing director of a financial services company, may lose his business if sent to jail.

Hide AdShe added: “He has not been diagnosed with depression but everything he has been through has had an effect upon his health.”
Judge Diane Baker gave Cochran a six-week jail term, suspended for 12 months and a restraining order. He was also ordered to pay £1,300 compensation to his victims, court costs of £620 and an £80 victim surcharge.
