Mr Bradley has signed up to become a defibrillator champion and has made local councillors aware of the campaign to support a roll-out of the life-saving devices across the town.

It follows an event at Westminster where he met representatives from The Oliver King Foundation, named after the death of a 12-year-old Liverpool boy who died after suffering heart failure while at a school that did not have a defibrillator.

The MP said: “It is crucial we take action to help prevent loss of life for those who suffer cardiac arrests. It was really inspiring to hear about the work of the Foundation. My sister-in-law is a first responder and ambulance technician, so I know from speaking to her how vital defibrillators can be.”
