Clipstone forest fire started at 'careless' illegal campsite
Firefighters are warning about the dangers of handling lighting materials after a fire was started at an illegal campsite at a Clipstone forest.
The fire which covered 200 square metres of forest was tackled by crews from Mansfield and Edwinstowe, today, Wednesday, July 25.
A fire and rescue spokesman said: "Careless handling of lighting materials was the cause - whilst probably under the influence of alcohol at this make shift illegal campsite. Think about the impact this can cause."
