Arrest made after Mansfield stabbing

Police were called to a disturbance in a house on Kitchener Drive where a man was found with serious stab wounds to the neck.
Officers were called to Kitchener Drive at around 5.40pm yesterday, June 14.

Hide AdA 30-year-old man suffered a stab wound to the neck and was taken to hospital. His injuries are currently believed to be life-threatening.
Police remain at the scene as they continue with their enquiries and a cordon remains in place on Kitchener Drive.
A 22-year-old man was arrested at an address in Bulwell this morning in connection with the incident and remains in police custody.
Detective Inspector Kim Binns, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Our officers were quickly in the area following this report.

Hide Ad“I’d like to reassure the public that we are treating this very seriously and working incredibly hard to understand the full circumstances of what happened.
"We know that incidents of this nature cause a lot of concern, however we believe this was an isolated incident and as a result of our enquiries we arrested a suspect overnight in connection with it. We have also stepped up patrols in the area to address any concerns the public have.
“We’re still in the early stages of the investigation so we would urge anyone who witnessed the assault or who has any information that could help us to better understand the circumstances of this incident to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 624 of 14 June 2020.”
