Arrest made after stabbing in Mansfield

Police were called to Rosemary Street at around 3.40pm yesterday (January 30).
A 44-year-old man who suffered a minor injury to his hip was treated by paramedics but did not attend hospital.

Hide AdDetective Inspector Gayle Hart said: "Our officers attended the scene within minutes yesterday resulting in a 50-year-old man being arrested a short distance away from where the victim was located.
"The man remains in police custody and our team has been working around the clock while the investigation continues.
"Knife crime remains one of our top priorities and will not be tolerated on any level.
"We believe this to be an isolated incident with no threat to the wider public."
