Teenager and two men charged over warehouse break-in in Mansfield

Three people have been charged in connection with the theft of thousands of pounds worth of goods from a warehouse in Mansfield.

Police were called to Concord Way, Mansfield, on August 1, shortly before 8.15pm, after a break-in was detected.

Officers arrived and intercepted a pick-up truck containing a large number of boxes. The vehicle was then abandoned in Enterprise Road and several suspects fled from the scene.

Three people – two men, aged 33 and 27, and a 17-year-old youth – were later arrested on suspicion of burglary after being found in the garden of a property on Chesterfield Road. One man was also arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage to a police car.

Jimmy Lee, aged 33, of no fixed address, 27-year-old Roman Lee, of Long Acre View, Sheffield, and a 17-year-old youth who cannot be named for legal reasons have now been charged with burglary and aggravated vehicle taking in connection with the incident.

Roman Lee has also been charged with causing criminal damage to a police car, and the youth with using threatening, abusive and insulting words.

All three have appeared before Nottingham Magistrates’ Court when their case was adjourned to Nottingham Crown Court on August 31. The men were remanded into custody, while the youth was released on bail.
