Flower power pays off with village well dressing success

Pleasley Well Dressing and Flower Festival took place at St Michael’s Church between Saturday 12th and Monday 16th July.

of seeds, berries, leaves, petals, bark and even coffee beans are pressed into the damp clay.

“It is definitely a labour of love, as once it is displayed outside church, the well dressing only lasts about a week - or even less in the recent hot weather.”

Visitors were also able to enjoy flower arrangements in the church, which were designed to the overall festival theme - Nature in Colour.
