LETTER: They will only take notice when they lose votes

Further to David Taylor's letter on population and housing in last week's Chad (read Mr Taylor's letter here) let us be clear what drives the demand for housing, albeit often indirectly.

In my view successive Lib-Lab-Con Governments allow or even encourage open door immigration, aided and abetted by the European Union.

To provide extra housing, they offer financial incentives to their councils around the country to grant as many planning applications as possible.

The poor voter then pays the price by way of congestion and extra strain on infrastructure and services.

Anyone happy with this dire situation should continue to vote for the status quo.

Otherwise vote for absolutely anyone who is not standing for an establishment party.

Losing votes is the only lesson they take notice of.
