Nottinghamshire police reported seeing a car “travelling at speed" in Outram Street, Sutton-in-Ashfield, at 9.50pm, Thursday.
The driver Thomas Hollis, 27, of Windmill Close, Sutton-in-Ashfield was arrested shortly after.

Hide AdCharged with driving without due care and attention, obstructing police and resisting arrest, he has been released on conditional bail, to appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on February 5.
Cllr Hollis represents Huthwaite and Brierley. The council has been contacted for comment.
