Green light for 40 new 'affordable homes' in Church Warsop

Planning permission for 40 “affordable homes” to “meet the needs of the area” has been granted in Warsop.

Urban Developments has been granted permission to build the homes off Wood Lane, Church Warsop, including 26 semi-detached two-bedroom homes, eight two-bedroom terrace properties and some four-bedroom houses.

Nick Gould, Urban Developments managing director, said: “This will be a distinctive, high-quality development and will provide a variety of affordable homes to meet the needs of the area.

“Well-located, within easy reach of Warsop centre and a good public transport network, it will benefit the local economy.

Urban Group (York) is an independent development and construction provider, offering “high-quality, sustainable building solutions to a range of housing, retail and commercial clients”.

The 3.1-acre Warsop site is predominantly tree-lined, with landscaping proposed. A new access will be provided from Wood Lane.

Plans show the development includes sustainability measures, including air source heat pumps and electric vehicle charging points.
