Mansfield gym set to reopen under new ownership after transformation

JD Gyms – part of JD Sports Fashion group – will be among thousands of gyms nationwide which will reopen on Monday, April 12 as part of the Government’s roadmap out of lockdown.
And the former Xercise4Less Mansfield gym on Old Mill Lane in Mansfield Woodhouse will boast a new look when members return – with it boasting more than 300 pieces of the industry’s best cardio, strength and functional fitness equipment as well as one of the area’s largest free weights zones, prowler/sprint track, rig and boxing area.

Hide AdThe state-of-the-art fitness studios will play host to more than 300 classes a month and the gym will be open from 6am–10pm on weekdays and 8am-8pm on Saturday and Sundays.
JD Gyms stepped in to save the jobs of workers after Xercise4Less went into administration in July 2020 and also created more employment opportunities for locals.
Managing director of JD Gyms, Alun Peacock, said: “Mansfield is a key location for us and we’ve been wanting to bring the JD Gyms brand here for some time as our national rollout continues.
“We’re incredibly excited to be transforming this existing gym and creating a higher standard of fitness facility for the people of Mansfield.”
