The last-ditch search is still on to find the owner of the winning ticket from the Thunderball draw on July 29 which was bought in the Ashfield district.

The winning numbers on that date were 16, 26, 30, 31, 39 and the Thunderball was 9, with the ticket-holder matching the five main numbers and the Thunderball.

Andy Carter, senior winners advisor at The National Lottery, said, “Time really is running out for the winner of this prize, but we are still hopeful that someone will come forward at the very last minute to claim the money.

"We’re urging everyone to check their old tickets one final time or look anywhere a missing Thunderball ticket could be hiding.

“This life-changing prize could really help to make dreams become a reality for someone out there.

People can buy tickets in their local store or, if they prefer, they can play online at national-lottery.co.uk or by downloading the National Lottery app.

"You can also scan your retail tickets on the National Lottery app to check if you're a winner.

“If you have the winning ticket call the National Lottery Line on 0333 234 5050 to claim.”

This year, thanks to National Lottery players, up to £800 million is being used by charities and organisations affected by the impact of the coronavirus outbreak across the communities, the arts, heritage and sport.

This includes up to £400 million being used to help groups best placed to support people and communities through the Covid-19 crisis – from helping support food banks to causes that combat loneliness and isolation, support for the elderly and projects that aid health in the community.

With all National Lottery draws, players have 180 days from the day of the draw to claim their prize if they have the winning ticket.

If no-one comes forward with the winning ticket before the prize claim deadline, then the prize money will go to help National Lottery-funded projects across the UK.
