The winner will feature on the front cover of the magazine and pocket a $20,000 prize, of which Alex has already promised to donate half to a local community initiative, which she says is her real motivation for winning.

The 30-year-old explains: “I’ve already got through a few rounds so I’ve come so far and am so close to getting through, but I need everyone to get behind me.

"Obviously it would be nice to be on the front cover, but knowing I could help a local community group would be amazing.

"My whole aim is to build an army of strong women through exercise, nutrition and mindset, so I would love to start a local group to encourage young kids to step away from Instagram and get more active.

"I know from experience how much exercise and nutrition can help your self esteem as I have been in that rut myself, and I think we need to encourage children to think about stepping away from social media and electronics.”

Alex trains up to five times a day, seven days a week, and credits exercise in helping her find herself again after suffering from depression seven years ago.

She now trains women from the Mansfield and Ashfield area and focuses on changing their relationship with food alongside building body confidence through both online and physical classes at The Fitness Factory.

Voting ends at 4am on Friday and voters are allowed one free vote per day, via this link.
