Renovation work is progressing on High Pavement House, the former Department for Work and Pensions building on High Pavement, which will house the new Maker Space.
Now Ashfield Council is looking for people interested in using the space to come forward, ahead of its opening in spring 2023.

The council is also putting together a network of businesses and skilled people to help get the Maker Space off the ground – skills/interests required include textiles, wood working, metal working, computing and 3D printing.
The authority purchased the building in September 2021 using part of the £6.27 million Future High Streets money it was awarded to regenerate Sutton’s town centre.
Robert Docherty, council director of place and communities, said “As work progresses, we are now looking for potential users of the space, which will give new purpose and energy to this prominent building in Sutton.
