Hide AdHundreds of thousands of pumpkins which have been grown for the last 120 days were ripe for picking on Sunday (Oct 8).
Stunning drone footage shot at Maxey’s Farm in Mansfield, Notts, shows lines and lines of the crop.
The rising popularity of Halloween means more and more people are carving lanterns out of them.
Owner Katherine Maxey said: “We are open from 9-5 every day. Anyone can come and graba wheelbarrow and pick their own pumpkin.

Hide Ad“ Every year we keep saying we will count them but we never get round to it.
“We started in 2012 with a small field next to the shop and every year we grow more of them.
There are all sorts of sizes from small to giant.”
An estimated 10million pumpkins are grown in the UK every year – 95 per cent will be carved into hollowed-out lanterns for Halloween and five percent will be used for soups, stews and pies.
