Sara’s marathon wish comes true
PE teacher Sara Arnold will join a stampede of runners on the 26 mile circuit in aid of the Down’s Syndrome Association, a condition her 35-year-old sister Katie was born with.
Her first ever marathon will complete her ambition to run the distance at the age of 40 and Katie and her family will be cheering her on from the sidelines on 26th April.

With two young children to bring up, a home to run, a job three days of the week as a teacher, she has had great support from husband Bruce over the past few months as her training regime has steadily intensified.
She said: “I regularly run about 5-6 miles and I have progressively added a mile every week.
“Bruce has been keeping me company on his bike.”
Last week Sara ran 21 miles in 3hours 23 minutes and says she is on track to complete it in less than four hours 20 minutes.
