According to traffic management site InRIX, Jubilee Way North has been ‘closed due to flooding from Edale Road to Eakring Road’.

It follows heavy rain in the area.

However, a flood alert for the River Maun, including Mansfield, Edwinstowe, Ollerton and Milton, was lifted by the Environment Agency at 9am today, as ‘river levels have now fallen below the flood risk threshold’.

The agency said: “We will continue to monitor the forecast and re-issue this alert if necessary.

“Further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. We continue to monitor the situation.

“Please plan driving routes to avoid low-lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and see the GOV.UK website for a five-day flood forecast.”

A similar alert for the ‘River Leen including Day Brook and Tottle Brook in Nottinghamshire’, around Newstead and Papplewick has also been lifted.
