Tributes to Warsop and Shirebrook's Mick the Butcher
His ashes were later interred at Warsop Cemetery.
Born in Warsop Vale and a resident of Old Church Warsop for 15 years, Michael retired in 2001 after running his own butcher’s shop for 36 years in Shirebrook. He was known locally as “Mick the Butcher”.
He loved watching all sport, particularly horse racing and football. He loved to draw wildlife and spend time with his family.

Hide AdMichael, who passed away at home on October 25, 2017, with his family around him, leaves his wife Rita, daughters Andrea Maclennon, Michelle Bell and Lisa Smith, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

The service was conducted by Miss Pat Brewin and arrangements were by GA Townroe & Son.
