Two GP surgeries in Skegby are set to merge
Patients currently registered at Woodside Surgery in in Skegby are to be transferred to neighbouring Healdswood Surgery, just a few hundred yards away, to become Skegby Family Medical Centre serving 9,000 patients.
GP, Dr Richard Hook, of Healdswood Surgery said: “We are very pleased to be welcoming colleagues from our neighbouring Woodside and we look forward to working together to be able to sustain future health services for our communities. With the additional parking, extra rooms and pharmacy we can offer patients the same high quality service they are used to from a much improved environment.”

Patients are being told that their registration will automatically transfer to the new practice; which will still continue to deliver all the services currently provided at both sites.
Woodside Surgery has grown in recent years with little scope to enhance services from its Mansfield Road premises and parking problems. It will close its doors for the final time on November 30.
The newly merged practice will be operational from December 1.
