So we announced we were having a Cuddle, cake and a bit of a break afternoon.”

“In exchange for our residents having cuddles with their beautiful bundles of joy, it was also a chance for mums and dads to take the weight off and have a free slice of cake.

“It also gave them the chance to have a chat with others and hear words of wisdom from our lovely residents.”

Mum Leah Hall from Mansfield Woodhouse took along six month old Lorenzo. She said: “I think it’s a brilliant idea It’s nice for the residents and good for their emotional health - it perks them up.”
