Met Office issues Mansfield with yellow warning for rain

Heavy downpours are forecast across the town from Tuesday (January 19) until Thursday (January 21) with warning of potential flooding.
The forecasters also warned the public that the spells of prolonged and heavy rain may lead to flooding and disruption to travel in places.

Hide AdOn Monday, the day is expected to start off dry with some sunny spells but will head to a more cloudy afternoon with rain is forecast later in the day, with a maximum temperature of 7°C.
Tonight, heavy rain is forecast in the north part of East Midlands, but it will likely turn drier in the south later, with a minimum temperature of 4°C.

Hide AdTuesday is predicted to start off very wet with occasionally heavy rain stalling over the region as the temperature will go as high as 11°C.
But heavy and persistent rain is likely to continue on Wednesday, and Thursday will be colder with a risk of gales and some snow, ahead of a brighter but colder end to the week with wintry showers.
