Worksop man stole steaks to buy 'black mamba'
Keith Coward, 33, of Potter Street, admitted stealing £10.98 of meat from Farmfoods, in Victoria Retail Park, on February 7.
David Verity, mitigating, said Coward had been out of trouble for seven years, until a recent spate of shoplifting offences, for which he received a six month community order on March 1.

“Things have started to improve. He has supported accommodation with Framework and a drugs worker to help tackle his issues.”
The court heard his six-month order had started poorly.
Magistrates in Mansfield gave Coward a “stern warning” to comply with the order.
He was told to pay £85 court costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
