Clipstone see off Kimberley Miners Welfare to advance in Notts Senior Cup
Clipstone started brightly with Nicky Walker comfortable on the ball and the home side’s main threat while Alec Denton found pockets of space with some strong runs.
The visitors’ goalkeeper was called upon to make several important saves during the first 45 minutes, none more so than from Denton’s spot kick.

Ellis Wall levelled on 57 minutes before putting Clipstone in front just after the hour with his second. Walker then grabbed a quick brace of his own on 68 and 71.
Denton got his name on the scoresheet on 75 minutes to make the improbable the impossible for Kimberley and despite Tony Hemmings pulling one back it finished 5-2.
