6. Fresh air.
There are remains of the 12th century King John's Palace, in Clipstone between Mansfield and Edwinstowe. The area was originally a retreat for royal families and dignitaries in the 14th and 15th centuries due to its location within Sherwood Forest famed for its fresh air and exclusiveness. Photo: Google

8. Houses in Mansfield rock.
This picture of the rock houses at the top of Ratcliffe Gate was taken in 1971. The last person to live here was John Bramwell, who died in 1900 age 85. He was a framework knitter in the lace industry. Photo: JPI Media
